Petting Zoo for Overlook’d Books

Petting Zoo for Overlook’d Books asks visitors to consider the lives of books,
particularly the selection of books from the Barber Library collection found within the installation.  All of these books joined the collection five years ago (2011) but have never been checked out of the library. 

Imagine yourself as a book on a library shelf, waiting for the moment when a patron will hold you, flip through your pages, and perhaps take you to a warm home where you will be fawned over – if only for a short while.
You are invited to enter the installation, spend some time with these overlooked books:  enjoy them
                        rearrange them
                                    cradle them
And yes!  Check them out of the library!
